The id:rc has just been selected by the Jordan Competitiveness Program to implement a survey of a representative sample of firms in clusters that the JCP is working in to calculate competitiveness scores for each cluster, and for all clusters in combination to help strengthen the competitiveness of Jordanian firms, resulting in increased employment, foreign direct investment and exports. Launched in October 2013, the JCP is a 5-year, $45 million program will employ a “bottom up,” private-sector led, inclusive, and participatory approach to achieve its goals. JCP offers a focused, integrated approach to enhancing Jordan’s competitiveness. The Competitive Index Survey will be repeated annually to provide a time series of data on the key factors that affect the competitiveness of the targeted clusters.
