As part of support by the Jordan Economic Reform Activity (ERA), funded by the U.S. Embassy in Amman, to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, in its efforts to launch sectoral strategies for the priority sectors;  food, chemical, and engineering industries,  the id:rc was contracted to conduct the required sectoral analyses with the relevant stakeholders, and develop three sectoral strategies with the aim of enhancing their competitiveness, increasing the value added of national production, and creating sustainable employment opportunities.

These three strategies fall within the framework of developing high value industrial sectors under the industrial policy implemented by the Ministry to accelerate sustainable economic growth and enhance the quality of Jordanian products.

The assignment entails a comprehensive analysis of challenges and opportunities, aligned with national objectives and contributing to the achievement of the targets set out in the Economic Modernization Vision.
